The countdown is on! 5 days until my due date and we can hardly wait to meet our sweet boy. I can’t believe how quickly the second half of this pregnancy has flown by. It feels like just yesterday we were announcing our exciting news at 20 weeks! As per usual, I was planning on posting more about my pregnancy journey on the blog. But between some travelling and a move to Scotland, life was busy busy busy and here we are… 39 weeks along and anxiously awaiting the arrival of our baby any day now. Anyways, it dawned on me a few weeks ago that I really haven’t taken that many photos of my bump… and I’ve also been feeling sentimental that the days of it being just me and Andy are almost over (helllloooo pregnancy hormones!)… so when my sister was in town visiting us last week, she was sweet enough to snap some photos of us to remember this exciting time in our lives… and the bump! Thanks Ker!
And of course we couldn’t leave out our little Roo. Our first baby. 🙂
Things I want to remember about this pregnancy…
How excited we were when we found out at the end of January!
How nerve-wracking the first 12 weeks were! This was something I didn’t anticipate. But until I had my first ultrasound, it just didn’t feel real and I wanted any confirmation that he was really in there!
How lucky I was to not experience any morning sickness. Some moments of nausea but nothing too bad at all. Thanks baby boy! Mostly just a bit tired and hungry 😉
First trimester cravings: fruit!
Telling our family and friends!
Andy’s face when we found out it was a boy at 17 weeks 🙂 We were too excited to wait for the 20 week scan, so went in for an early scan just to find out. I was convinced it was a boy!
Feeling him kick for the first time at 21 weeks! There were definitely times before this that I thought I had felt him, but it was at 21 weeks when I was on a flight to Germany to see my sister that I felt the first real kick! The next week we were in Lake Como and he kicked the whole time… pretty sure he loves good food just like his mama 😉
Our babymoon in Mallorca! Showing off my bump and thinking it was big at the time 😉
Second and third trimester cravings: alllllll the pasta!
Moving into our house and getting the nursery all ready. My favorite room in the house 🙂
Starting to feel so ready (aka over being pregnant) around 36/37 weeks haha.
Hoping he’d stay put until my mom got here on the 25th… we are officially ready for you, baby boy!!!!
