soho farmhouse.

A couple weeks ago, Andy treated me to a night away at a place that has been on my bucket list since moving to England. Soho Farmhouse is located in gorgeous Oxfordshire, just 90 minutes from London, and is exactly what you’d imagine a posh Cotswolds, country-style retreat to be. This place is seriously dreamy! Check out some of our pics from the trip below…

At the heart of the property lies the farmyard, which is surrounded by stone buildings and re-furbished barns, and is the ultimate hang-out spot. A mill-room country style pub, main barn dining area, farmshop and deli, Cowshed spa, private cinema, ping pong tables, bocce ball… there’s definitely not a shortage of things to do and places to lounge around and relax. You also have your choice of a  few different restaurants as well. The main-barn is an all-day restaurant, so we ended up having breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea (of course!) here. And for dinner we went to the super stylish Pen Yen restaurant, which is a Japanese grill serving sashimi, sushi, tempura, and robata dishes. So yummy. We stopped in at the farmshop and deli on our way out for a coffee and a snack for the road!

Ok, I promise there is more to do than just eat, relax, and lounge around ;). There are plenty of outdoor activities and things you can do around the farmhouse as well! I’m talking grass tennis courts, a five-a-side football pitch, horse-back riding lessons, row boats to take out on the lake, a gym, sauna and steam rooms, as well as indoor and outdoor swimming at the gorgeous boathouse. Andy was in heaven.

One of the first things that drew me to Soho Farmhouse was the interior design of the adorable Huckleberry Finn-esque cabins. They have studio cabins, one-bed, two-bed and three-bed cabins, as well as a few larger farm cottages and houses too. (Seriously…check out some of these rooms… swoon-worthy.)

But these do not come cheap, as you could imagine! So this time around we instead opted for the bell tents for a true glamping experience! And look how cute. Our own little tent complete with the comfiest bed, a wood-burning stove, stylish rugs and two arm chairs, and a couple of robes as well! So cozy.

If you are heading to the UK soon, you must add Soho Farmhouse to your list for the ultimate english countryside experience!
