One of our favorite things to do together, wherever we may be, is find cute coffee shops. We love to enjoy a yummy latte and pastry, scope out the scene (does it have great work vibes? Or is it more relaxing and loungey?), and just use the time to chat about, ya know, sister things. This simple routine has landed us in some amazing spots over the years, but San Francisco definitely has some of our all-time favorites.
The SF coffee scene is as lively, diverse, and trendy as the city itself. From sleek modern designs to the cozy hole-in-the-wall type spots, there is truly a coffee shop for everyone, and every occasion! So of course we’ve made it our mission to try as many as possible. We have our go-to’s for a quick but amazing cup of joe, a handful that we love to hunker down and work in, and others that we go to for fun photos and inspiration. I guess you could say it’s a bit of an obsession.
…for a cool scene without having to go too far, we love:
Saint Frank on Polk Street // modern, bright, and super simplistic (both the decor and the coffee!)
Wrecking Ball Coffee Roasters on Union Street // because, well, pineapple wallpaper.
Philz // the Philz truck parks right by the Marina harbor on the weekends, which makes for the perfect pitstop before the Farmer’s Market or a walk to the Golden Gate Bridge.
…but don’t be fooled… we’re definitely willing to travel for the perfect foamy latte in that illusive corner window seat. And on those days, we make the hike to:
The Mill on Divisadero // go for the coffee, stay for the yummy toast (made on homemade bread), or vice versa… either way, plan to stay a while.
Cafe Reveille // there are a few locations, our favorite being the big, bright (and pink!), open one in Mission Bay. The perfect lunch spot to eat and work or meet up with some friends.
As Quoted on Sacramento Street // all white interior, amazing lattes, big salads, homemade muffins fresh out of the oven… need we say more?
…and a few others that can’t be overlooked:
Ritual Coffee Roasters in the Mission
Blue Bottle Coffee in the Ferry Building
So, cheers to a good cup of coffee with the best company!
xx, Kerry & Ryan
