Happy New Year! I’ve been meaning to put this post together for awhile, and now feels like the perfect time to finally share photos and details from our wedding day as we just celebrated our first wedding anniversary last week! We celebrated with a dinner out at one of our favorite places, and finished the night watching our wedding film back and pouring through all the gorgeous photos. (Our wedding was also featured on Style Me Pretty which can be seen here!) I love reliving every moment of my favorite day with my favorite guy. I hope you enjoy looking at all the photos as much as we do! 😉
With my east coast roots, and Andy being from England, we knew my hometown of Princeton, New Jersey would be the perfect central meeting spot for friends and family to share in the celebration. And it certainly doesn’t hurt that Princeton University and downtown Nassau Street provide the perfect mix of classic beauty and timeless charm. This is where we drew much of our inspiration for the day and the entire wedding weekend.
I couldn’t have been luckier to have my incredible aunt plan the entire weekend. She made it all so easy and fun for us, and it was amazing to see our vision come to life. A soft, neutral palette. Gorgeous white florals with lush greenery. And overall… classic, romantic, and elegant was how we envisioned our special day and it certainly was just that.
I am a huge sucker for paper products so I knew that I wanted something beautiful and timeless for our wedding suite. And I just love the way it turned out. My favorite part is the beautiful wreath with our initials that our calligrapher designed for us to add a personal touch.
Getting ready with my girls in the gorgeous suite at Jasna Polana…
Andy and the boys getting ready at the hotel…
My beautiful bridesmaids. So incredibly lucky to have these gals in my life. And how gorgeous do they look in their Jenny Yoo dresses?! All the same dress, but can be worn different ways. I love the way the two shades of soft blue look together. Especially with their gorgeous bouquets!
On our way to the church! Eeeeek!
My dad walking me down the aisle. One of the most special moments of my life.
I do, I do, I do!!!
After the ceremony, our guests had a few hours to refresh and regroup before cocktail hour, while Andy and I went to take some photos on the gorgeous Princeton campus. I loved this time we had together. And we seriously lucked out with a warm winter day with plenty of golden hour light!
And back to our reception venue for photos with the bridal party…
Beautiful overflowing flowers, floor to ceiling twinkle lights, and candles everywhere… my must-haves for the reception! The room truly sparkled. I’m still blown away with how it all came together…
The cutest duo! So incredibly thankful for these two…
Our first dance as husband and wife to Better than Love by Griffin House. 🙂
My dad and I danced to Bruce Springsteen’s Thunder Road which has always been our song. He sang in my ear the whole dance.
And Andy and his mom danced to Days Like This by Van Morrison.
The speeches were definitely a highlight for us. All so thoughtful and heartfelt, and such a good reflection of who we are as a couple and the people who have shaped us along the way. We laughed, we cried, and we loved every second of it.
Looking back on these photos makes me so happy. Our wedding was truly a dream, and Andy and I were overwhelmed with happiness to be celebrating with our closest family and friends. The best day of our lives (so far ;)!
And a huge thank you to all of the amazing vendors who made our wedding day so magical!
