In case you missed it a couple weeks ago, our little man turned the big ONE! I had no idea how emotional this milestone would make me, but maaaaan… talk about an emotional rollercoaster! #momlife. Celebrating Jack’s first birthday truly was the icing on the cake to the most amazing first year with out sweet boy! We knew we wanted to keep things pretty simple and low key. But of course knowing me, I couldn’t let the occasion pass by without decorating and making it a day we will always remember! I mean it’s not everyday that your baby turns one. Cue all the tears…
In the end, the day turned out to be just perfect. My mom and sister were in town to celebrate, and we had a few friends over for cake. After cake and presents, we went out to dinner just as a family. It really was such a special day for all of us!
My mom and sister were nice enough to help me with the decorations! I knew I wanted a lot of balloons, a few silver & star accents, cupcakes from our favorite local bakery, and a homemade cake for Jack to smash! He had soooooo much fun. He was a little unsure what to do at first but figured it out very quickly ;). We sang happy birthday over and over (because that smile!!!) and then when we would say “how old are you?” he would hold up his little finger. We practiced this for the week leading up to the big day and all our hard work paid off 😉
This boy brings so much happiness and joy to all of our lives, and we couldn’t be more proud to be his parents!!!
