I am still dreaming about our days in paradise and already asking Andy when we can go back! 😉 Our daily routine in the Maldives looked a little something like this. Wake up around 9, breakfast, lay on our private deck for a couple hours, lunch, lay on the beach by the pool with cocktail in hand, maybe a little bit of snorkelling, maybe some tennis at dusk, dinner, have a drink at one of the bars (they were showing the Euros at night… makes for one happy husband), sleep. And repeat. For 8 wonderful days.
I was super excited to shop for this trip. Andy and I hadn’t been on a beach vacay together since college (does spring break in Cabo really count?) so I couldn’t wait to shop for bathing suits, coverups, dresses, hats, and sandals! There is something so simple and effortless about dressing at the beach. (Not to mention, I find it so much easier to find affordable summer clothing!) Anyways… since summer isn’t quite over just yet (or maybe you’re just in denial like me)… I thought it would be fun to put together a little lookbook of a few of my favorite pieces and outfits that I wore in the Maldives! So, here we go… honeymoon diaries part two! (…if you missed part one you can read it here.)
Even though getting to the Maldives was a bit of a mission (one train, two planes, and an hour water taxi to the island of Meeru)… it was all worth it when we saw that amazing turquoise water! I’ve never seen anything like it.
