a saturday in chelsea.

After a fun Friday afternoon exploring Covent Garden, my sister and I were excited to venture to a part of London neither of us had been before. We hopped on the tube and headed to Chelsea, stoping off at South Kensington station and embarking on the scenic 20 minute walk to King’s Road. (…Which actually ended up being a 45 minute walk because we couldn’t help but stop and take pictures at every corner. How could you not?!) Every street is lined with gorgeous white-pillared homes, boasting large windows and beautiful window boxes.

Can we just talk about the beauty that is London in springtime?! The city is in full bloom and everywhere you go you will find walls of purple wisteria! I just couldn’t get enough. Before moving here, the only time I had ever visited England was around Christmastime to visit Andy’s family. So being here, and getting to explore this beautiful city in the sunshine AND with my sister, has been pretty awesome.

We finally made our way to the Bluebird for lunch, a popular spot complete with a restaurant, bar, cafe, food and wine store, and shop! (Confession- I first heard about this place from watching Made in Chelsea. Putting my reality TV obsession to good use!) This place is definitely the hot spot in town. The outdoor courtyard was absolutely buzzing on this sunny Saturday! The people watching was quite entertaining as well.. if you’re into that sort of thing ;). Kerry had the yellowfin tuna tacos and I had the lobster roll.. with fries of course! Both were delish. Afterwards, we took a peek in the shop, and I may or may not have bought a new pair of sunglasses that you will see me wearing all summer long!

After lunch we strolled down King’s Road, popping in and out of shops along the way. And then we finally made our way to Bywater Street to witness the colorful row of terraced town houses for ourselves! When can I move in?!

IMG_4950Side note. I’m sooooo glad I wore my New Balance sneaks. I was going to wear some cute lace-up flats, but in the end comfort was key. We covered a lot of ground and were exhausted by the end of the day!

We had such a wonderful day exploring this gorgeous London neighborhood! I can’t wait to take Andy at some point. It’s the perfect place to find a yummy bite to eat, pop in some shops, wander around… and pick out your dream home! 😉
